Artbreeder is an example of an AI-powered image generation platform developed collaboratively by a small team: the Morphogen collective, founded by Joël Simon after his studies in computer science and fine arts.
Since May 2024, Artbreeder has offered a text-to-image generation tool, but as early as August 2019, it already allowed users to mix two images together.
